    Marten Transport of Mondovi WI reported record revenue of $282.8 million for 2001, an increase of 8% from revenue of $260.8 million in 2000. Net income for 2001 was $6.5 million, or $1.54 per diluted share, compared with $7.9 million, or $1.88 per diluted share, in 2000.

    Operating income for 2001 was $15.1 million, compared with $18.7 million in 2000. Marten's operating ratio rose to 94.7% in 2001 from 92.8% in 2000.

    Fourth-quarter net income was $1.3 million, compared with $2.1 million in 2000. Operating income for fourth-quarter 2001 was $3 million versus $5.1 million in 2000. The fourth-quarter 2001 operating ratio climbed to 95.7% from 92.7% for fourth-quarter 2000.
