Transportation professionals responsible for the security of containerized cargo can use a new cable seal called the SeaLock Jr. This seal thwarts and averts cargo theft in two ways. First it locks the container door hasp, preventing unauthorized personnel from opening the container door.

Second, the SeaLock Jr coils itself around the container's middle keeper-bars. This prevents the keeper bars from separating, thereby precluding the container doors from being opened.

The SeaLock Jr assembly consists of a bullet-ended, 3/16" aircraft cable, a lock body, and a plastic coated locking case. Applied to the bullet end of the cable, the locking case is heat-stamp-decorated with a company name and seven consecutive numbers for accountability and tracking purposes. SeaLock Jr installs in seconds and can only be removed using cable cutters on two different areas of the cable. For more information, contact E J Brooks Co, 8 Microlab Rd, Livingston NJ 07039.
