The Pillsbury Co has named AmeriCold Logistics, Allentown PA, its Refrigerated Baked Goods (RBG) Facility of the Year. Pillsbury created the award to track and rate each of the company's third-party distribution partners. AmeriCold ranked number one at the Allentown center in overall performance and took the top score in six of 10 categories including flexible cost, systems capability, strategic fit, and innovation.
The Doughboy and other dignitaries from Pillsbury came to the catered luncheon, which was held for all shifts at AmeriCold. Tom Jones, senior manager of Logistics Services for Pillsbury, presented the Golden Doughboy trophy to Carlos Navarro, general manager, and site coordinator Debra Cope.
