Dana Corp's Commercial Vehicle Systems Division has a new Dana Spicer Brake Application Guidelines Manual to use in determining Dana Spicer brake applications for United States and Canadian heavy- and medium-duty commercial vehicles.
This manual provides application guidelines for all Dana Spicer brake products, categorized by vocation. The nomenclature section describes the brake assembly in detail, including shoes, spiders, springs, and camshafts. Air disc brake basics are also covered, as well as fundamentals of typical air brake system components and how they interact. A glossary with more than 160 of the most common brake component and drivetrain definitions is also supplied.
