H-E-B, an independently owned food retail chain, has joined UCCnet and plans to implement the UCCnet GLOBALregistry service. The supermarket chain joins nearly 2,000 other supply and demand side trading partners as members of the UCCnet community.

UCCnet GLOBALregistry will allow H-E-B to improve the accuracy of its supply chain product and location information by letting it update product information in a timelier manner with its North American and international suppliers. Suppliers and their retail partners will see reduced errors in invoice pricing, purchase orders, and product delivery. Companies will be able to increase the speed of getting new products to market and facilitate the exchange of information.

San Antonio TX-based H-E-B has 56,000 employees and operates 300 stores in Texas and Mexico.
