Rite-Hite Aftermarket's Safe-T-Strut dock leveler support system is designed to make servicing a leveler safer. The vertically positioned Safe-T-Strut is constructed of a 1" Schedule 40 steel tubing for levelers under 50,000 pounds and 1¼" Schedule 40 steel tubing for levelers over 50,000 pounds. The patented through-the-lip design keeps the leveler in a safe and secured position, even if raised to maximum height, or if the leveler is hit by a fork-truck traveling 3-4 mph.
The lip of the leveler is supported with a steel collar that the leveler lip rests on. A steel mounting base allows Safe-T-Strut to be installed securely in the leveler. The system can be retrofitted to most pit-style levelers and is painted safety yellow. A chain is welded to the Safe-T-Strut and the leveler frame.
