Qualcomm Inc has announced the commercial release of its new MVPc in-vehicle computer and the signing of its first contracts with Alan Ritchey Inc and E Stewart Mitchell Inc.

The MVPc is designed to interface with the Qualcomm OmniTRACS and OmniExpress mobile communications systems to improve productivity and lower operating costs for transportation fleets. Features include a driver interface with touch-screen capability, support for multiple-host platforms, and a software development kit that permits customized or third-party applications.

The MVPc uses the Windows CE operating system to run custom or third-party applications.
