Stemco LP and Axcess International Inc have signed an agreement to work together in the development of RFID-based systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicle fleets.

These systems will use semi-active tag technology and hardware from Axcess that will be seamlessly integrated with Stemco's BAT RF active RFID mileage and tire pressure data collection sensors. Products using these combined capabilities are in development and planned for release in 2007.

BAT RF focuses on creating high-value RFID-based sensor systems to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve maintenance efficiencies for heavy-duty commercial fleets across North American markets.
