    McLeod Software was named among the top three technology companies of those nominated for the 2005 Alabama Information Technology Association (AITA) Leadership in Technology Awards — Small Company Category. The AITA is a non-profit trade association dedicated to advancing information technology and promoting IT businesses in Alabama.

    The AITA selected winners based on financial strength and overall success. McLeod was selected as one of the three top finalists, among 28 technology companies nominated in its category. It was presented with a plaque at the AITA Annual Awards Banquet held in October.
