Freightliner has made Consolidated Metco's Simplex Lite line of fifthwheels standard on its tractors. These lightweight fifthwheels, each equipped with TaperLoc air-activated 24" sliders, will become standard equipment on Freightliner tractors beginning with the company's fourth-quarter 2000 databook release.
