ArvinMeritor Inc received a leadership award for its work in virtual product development from MSC.Software Corp. at MSC's 2004 MSC Virtual Product Development Conference in Huntington Beach CA. The award was given to ArvinMeritor for its outstanding leadership in advancing the implementation of Virtual Product Development (VPD) tools and processes to improve product performance in the automotive industry.

The two-day MSC.Software conference was attended by more than 650 engineers, managers, directors, and company executives from more than 70 companies in the United States and abroad. Awards were given to 18 companies in three categories.
