The American Trucking Associations (ATA) has opened its selection process for the 2005-06 America's Road Team.

ATA said the team will be made up of 12 professional truck drivers with outstanding safety records and a commitment to educating the general public about highway safety, the contributions trucking makes to the national economy, and the positive contributions of the industry to the daily lives of all Americans.

Each candidate for the 2005 America's Road Team must be a full-time company driver for an ATA-member motor carrier or be an independent owner-operator leased to an ATA member. The Road Team nomination/application process will be open until July 31. Judging for the final team will take place Jan 17-19, 2005.
