Agribuys has unveiled its latest version of Fresh Foods Link supply chain software. With a new name and even newer functionality, Version 10.5 adds these capabilities:

  • Extensions to the Logistics-Link transportation manager allowing grocery buyers to become sellers and set up a complete wholesale channel for a range of customers.

  • Functionality within the Receiver-Link allowing retail grocers to implement efficient cross-dock operations for fresh food, using a new incoming/outgoing inventory control capability to receive bulk produce, perform quality control inspections, and then create small lots for delivery to branch stores or customers.

  • Improvements for quality control information flow in the Order-Link module facilitating communications among shippers and buyers to speed invoice reconciliation, including the ability to create scorecards for various products.

  • A new promotion tracker system will allow retail grocers to tie pricing policies and inventories directly to their planned advertising programs. This is achieved by providing improved and more flexible information flow within the Logistics-Link system for shippers to ensure adequate supplies of special or discounted items on the shelves at the right time.
