Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc (MCFA) is celebrating 10 years of manufacturing forklifts after having commenced business July 1, 1992.

MCFA held a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 12, 2002, to commemorate the opening of the new 97,200-square-foot headquarters building in Houston TX. The ceremony was performed by MCFA's president, Tadashi Sotoike, along with two former presidents: Yoichiro Okazaki (1997-2001) and Tetsu Okuno (1992-1997).

In the past 10 years, MCFA has produced more than 175,000 forklifts and has opened four parts distribution centers in the continental United States. It markets forklifts with the help of 97 Cat lift truck dealers and 105 Mitsubishi forklift truck dealers in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
