Savi Technology and Qualcomm Inc have announced a product initiative to integrate the companies' tracking, management, and security products into a comprehensive hardware/software system. This system is designed for in-transit visibility and security of transportation containers and their contents for truck, rail, and maritime industries.
The initiative combines Qualcomm's OmniTRACS and OmniExpress mobile communications systems, network operations, and fleet management with Savi's real-time systems. These systems leverage Savi's latest active radio frequency identification (RFID) technology — including electronic security seals — with enterprise software that improves management and security of supply chain assets.
