Rich will own the 5-million-cubic-foot distribution center. AmeriCold will manage the facility, creating about 80 new jobs when the facility is operational. Groundbreaking is expected to begin immediately, and construction is targeted for completion by June 2002.

With frozen storage for 20,000 pallets of product, the distribution center will feature warehouse management system technologies including computerized inventory management, Internet access to account information, computerized productivity measurement, computer-directed workforce capability, and bar-code scanning.
