Aurora Foods Inc, a St Louis MO-based producer and marketer of frozen food brands, continues to make progress in its pending reorganization under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code to effect its merger with Pinnacle Foods.

At a January 9 hearing, the Delaware Bankruptcy Court approved a series of orders requested by Aurora. It authorized the firm to mail holders of its outstanding senior subordinated notes, Aurora's reorganization plan and disclosure statement, and documents soliciting approval of the transaction.

The Delaware Bankruptcy Court has set a confirmation hearing on Aurora's reorganization plan for Feb 17, 2004.

On January 8, the court entered an order allowing Aurora to pay vendors that participated in its vendor lien program.

Aurora also announced that the applicable waiting period had expired under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
