Frozen Food Express Industries Inc announced its financial and operating results for the three-and six-month periods ended June 30, 2006.

For the six months ended June 30, 2006, total revenue increased by 3.3% to $252.9 million from $244.7 million for the first half of 2005. Operating income for the first six months of 2006 decreased to $6.8 million from $11.7 million for the comparable period of 2005. Net income for the six months ended June 30, 2006, was $4.0 million versus $9.1 million during the same period of 2005.

Total revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, was $126.8 million, in contrast to $126.7 million during the same quarter of 2005. Income from operations for the second quarter of 2006 was $3.5 million, which fell from $6.0 million during the second quarter of 2005. Net income for the second quarter of 2006 dropped to $2.1 million from $5.8 million for the second quarter of 2005.
