National Truck Protection, an independent supplier of used-truck warranties, plans to sell its wear-out warranty coverage to fleets and owner-operators on the open market.

The company covers items such as failures due to wear-out, oil consumption, turbocharger, air compressor, and injectors. National Truck Protection is offering two programs: Gold and Platinum. Both coverages are available from 100,000 miles or 12 months, as well as 200,000 miles or 24 months. A dynamometer inspection is required at a NTP inspection location.
