AmeriCold Logistics has received the Gorton's Logistics Award 2001 for outstanding service at two of AmeriCold's distribution locations. The Syracuse NY and Atlanta GA Gateway distribution centers received the awards during The Gorton's Conference held at the Sheraton Ferncroft in Danvers MA.

AmeriCold Logistics was chosen the best among Gorton's third-party service providers for on-time receipt and shipment confirmation, on-time cut notification, fewest shipping errors, least number of cases damaged/recouped, lot adjustments, invoice accuracy, inbound turn time, productivity improvements, claims settlement, management of changed orders, and same-day orders processed.

Gorton's Logistics Award 2001 trophies were presented to Mike Meilinger, Syracuse general manager; and Randy Fens, Atlanta general manager by Matt Muniz, distribution planning and support manager at Gorton's.
