Maxon Lift Corp, based in Santa Fe Springs CA, broke ground on a new manufacturing facility April 9, 2007. This groundbreaking coincides with the celebration of the company's 50th year in business.

The 325,000-square-foot facility will have 250,000 square feet in the factory and 75,000 square feet of warehouse space. Based on efficiency and layout, the new facility will represent a 100% increase in production capacity.

According to Brent Stratton, member-Office of the President, “The factory will feature cutting edge machines, processes, paint systems, and material handling flow. It will be unique in the liftgate industry due to its modernization and high volume liftgate production capabilities. As far as we know, this will be the largest and the first factory in the world built from the ground up that's specifically designed for high-production liftgate manufacturing.”

Construction is slated for completion by the end of 2007.
