Telatemp Corp has introduced the MicroPOINT 1, which can record 32,000-plus time-stamped temperature measurements with a 0.1° resolution. The MicroPOINT 1 can automatically compute the Mean Kinetic Temperature for any record produced during a temperature-monitoring period.

Designed to monitor temperatures from -40° to +75° C (-40° to +165° F), the MicroPOINT 1 records at user-definable intervals from every two seconds to 24 hours. Accuracy is ±0.5° C for temperatures from 0° to 60° C, and ±1° C for temperatures below 0° C and above 60° C. Temperature readings can be configured in degrees Celsius, Fahrenheit, Kelvin, or Rankine. It uses a low-power microprocessor to record data into a non-volatile memory and operates using a lithium battery.

Windows-based software lets users set up and custom-configure the MicroPOINT 1 and display recorded information in graph or table form, save to disk, or export to a spreadsheet program. Data also can be downloaded at any time without stopping the recording function. For full information, contact Telatemp, 351 S Raymond Ave, Fullerton CA 92831-4624.
