Winn-Dixie chooses Elogex logistics software

Winn-Dixie has selected Elogex software systems to help streamline inbound and outbound transportation activity. The Jacksonville FL supermarket operator will install the systems in 25 distribution locations that in total serve 1,140 stores in 14 states and the Bahamas. When fully implemented, the system will process 350,000 shipments per year including inbound freight on for-hire carriers and store deliveries on the Winn-Dixie private fleet.

The Elogex system will interface with Winn-Dixie's existing transportation management systems to apply rating and routing rules for increased capacity utilization. After delivery, cost data is transferred to the companyís existing freight settlement system for payment and analysis.
