Mack Trucks Inc has opened a new Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Joliet IL near Chicago. The new 248,000-square-foot facility features 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service.

The newest Mack PDC, located in the Rock Run Industrial Park at the intersection of Interstates 55 and 80, features 37 dock doors, clearance for 30 feet of vertical storage, and will house more than 50,000 different part numbers. Mack employs 62 people at the PDC. A corporate packager also has moved into the PDC to facilitate efficiency by speeding up turnaround times and lowering freight costs for parts requiring packaging.

Two other PDCs are scheduled to open: one in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in August; one in Baltimore MD in September.

Additional Mack PDCs are located in Atlanta GA, Dallas TX, and Reno NV.
