• Hub Group scores legal victories in two states

Hub Group Inc, a non-asset-based freight transportation management company providing intermodal, truckload, LTL, railcar, and related logistics and distribution services, has secured temporary injunctions against three former Hub presidents in Tennessee and Texas.

In both cases, the court enforced the non-competition agreements that the former Hub presidents signed in connection with their employment by Hub.

The ruling in Tennessee bars Integra Logistics LLC, its president, and one of its vice-presidents from soliciting Hub Tennessee’s customers or employees until November 2003. The ruling in Texas prohibits the former president of Hub Texas from owning or engaging in any intermodal transport business in Texas, contacting Hub Texas employees, or soliciting Hub Texas customers until his one-year non-competition period expires.

Phillip C Yeager, Hub Group chairman, said, “We are willing to take on any competitor, but we expect our former presidents to honor their agreements and to refrain from soliciting our employees and customers for one year after they leave our employment.”

Hub Group operates through a network of more than 30 offices in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
