WFLO names 2021 scholarship recipients
The World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO) recently named Luke Cannedy of Interstate Warehousing, Shari Jenkins of PadenCold Storage, and Janine Dunlap of RLS Logistics the recipients of its WFLO Institute Scholarship for 2021.
The scholarship program will send each of these candidates to WFLO Institute, and is sponsored by RefrigiWear and ALTA Refrigeration.
“Luke, Shari, and Janine were chosen by a panel of industry executives for their performance, leadership skills, and demonstrated dedication to the industry,” said Matthew Ott, president and CEO of WFLO. “They exhibit obvious talent and by attending Institute, they will become more well-rounded professionals who will be able to take their learning back to their companies and directly apply it to their day-to-day positions.
Cannedy serves as operations supervisor for Interstate Warehousing in Franklin, Ind. Jenkins serves as vice president for PadenCold in Norfolk, Va. Dunlap serves as business development coordinator for cold storage and fulfillment at RLS Logistics in Newfield, N.J. All three were nominated by their supervisors as outstanding examples of leaders in the cold chain.
The WFLO Institute is a four-day, industry-specific program for professionals engaged in temperature-controlled logistics, offering more than 40 classes taught by leading experts in the industry. The curriculum takes students through cold chain management, customer service, employee safety, food safety, warehouse operations, transportation operations, and professional development.
