Idealease offers Capacity terminal tractors
Idealease Inc, which operates a leading North American commercial vehicle leasing, rental, and service network, has expanded its product offering to include diesel-powered Capacity terminal tractors.
Capacity terminal tractors powered by Navistar’s MaxxForce brand diesel engines are available to cargo handlers through more than 400 Idealease locations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Idealease services more than 45,000 trucks, tractors, and trailers throughout the continent.
The multi-year deal is Capacity’s first program agreement with a national leasing company.
Terminal tractors are used to move freight in ports, intermodal terminals, rail yards, warehouses, and distribution centers. Capacity’s model offerings are powered by the MaxxForce 7 engine, rated at 215 horsepower with 560 lb-ft of torque. The V-8 turbodiesel is fully compliant with applicable US Environmental Protection Agency emissions standards.
To meet strict emissions standards, MaxxForce engines use Navistar’s advanced in-cylinder nitrogen oxide-reduction technology, which the firm says provides “no hassle” operational advantages over liquid-urea SCR emissions aftertreatment systems. These advantages include no additional wheelbase length to accommodate additional catalysts, no secondary operating fluid (liquid urea) to add, no additional driver training, and ease of maintenance.
For more than 40 years, Capacity has focused on the in-house manufacture and support of terminal tractors. Based in Longview TX, Capacity is a wholly owned subsidiary of Allied Specialty Vehicles Inc (ASV) and offers a full line of terminal trucks used worldwide. Capacity distributes products via a national and international authorized representative network. Access www.capacitytexas.com to learn more.
