ICS Logistics intends to construct a 227,000-square-foot refrigerated warehouse in Jacksonville FL for imported seafood, fruits, and vegetables. Construction is set to commence in January. When the warehouse opens by year-end 2008, about 90 jobs will be created.

To be built at Imeson International Industrial Park, the ICS warehouse will provide a combination of refrigerator, freezer, and room-temperature space, according to Brenda Goble, director of ICS sales and marketing. She said the terminal expected to open for Japan-based shipper Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd in 2008 could supply perishable foods from the Far East.
