Phoenix Industries LLC, headquartered in Winter Haven FL, is expanding its North Miami terminal from its location less than a mile from Interstate 95 to an 80,000-square-foot foodgrade freezer and cooler facility less than a block away.

“Our new location will allow us to offer combined public cold storage and multi-temperature services in the South Florida market, just as we have been doing in Central Florida since 1978,” said Bill Bailey, director of business development for Phoenix.

The company will continue to offer cross-dock services, ocean and rail freight container loading and unloading, LTL (less-than-truckload) distribution, truckload consolidation, pool distribution, and next-day delivery services for multi-temperature products throughout Florida.

Phoenix likely will add at least 10 more warehouse staff and distribution drivers by year-end. With this expansion, the firm will operate more than 400,000 square feet of multi-temperature facilities in Florida, complemented by an expanding fleet of distribution trucks.

Lyndon Valerie, a 25-year industry veteran, will serve as general manager of the facility and director of Phoenix's South Florida operations.
