Americold has begun expansion of its Fremont NE facility to accommodate customer and market demand.

Americold has begun expansion of its Fremont NE facility to accommodate customer and market demand. Pallet capacity will increase by 5,000, bringing the total facility capacity to 18,679.

This project includes a building expansion and electrical and refrigeration upgrades to the existing facility. The new addition will include one additional shipping and receiving dock with seven additional truck doors; one new rail dock with one additional rail door; one truck door; a 60-pallet, 24-hour blast freezer; and 5,000 racked freezer pallet positions.

The construction project is scheduled to be complete by April 1, 2010. It is expected to create approximately 10 new warehouse positions.
