Nordic Cold Storage LLC, provider of temperature-controlled supply chain services, has completed its expanded northwest Atlanta distribution center in Rockmart GA. The expansion adds approximately 20 new jobs and 10,000 more pallet positions to this fully staffed operation, which provides dedicated distribution for a national foodservice program.
"Demand continues to grow, especially for our dedicated programs tailored to national firms such as Wayne Farms LLC. Expanding Rockmart was an investment in our company and in the Atlanta market. It is the first of several expansions and additions in 2009 as we scale our company to meet the needs of our customers," said Don Schoenl, Nordic chief executive officer.
Nordic’s northeast Atlanta distribution center in Rockmart is one of the company’s three frozen distribution centers in the greater Atlanta area. All Nordic’s warehousing, distribution, and transportation services are focused upon the cold chain.
