PFS announces new facility in Lynden WA

Preferred Freezer Services (PFS), a provider of advanced design and engineered temperature-controlled warehouses, announces the newest addition to its expanding footprint in Lynden WA.
Preferred Freezer Services (PFS), a provider of advanced design and engineered temperature-controlled warehouses, announces the newest addition to its expanding footprint in Lynden WA. The company is expanding its presence in the Pacific Northwest to keep pace with growing customer demand for modern cold storage coupled with engaged and individual treatment in the handling of customers’ products.
This warehouse facility is expected to serve the local/regional agricultural and seafood industries. Construction, which will begin immediately, will include 292,396 square feet of freezer space, 31,092 square feet of temperature-controlled loading docks, and 8,080 square feet of support area for a total initial phase of 331,568 square feet. Additional property has been secured for future expansion. The facility will cost about $32 million to construct and could employ up to 30 people on a seasonal basis. PFS expects the warehouse to be open for business in September 2015. “We are extremely excited to join the Lynden community and to be able to serve current and new customers in this ever-expanding market area,” said Todd Klumok, PFS executive vice-president of business development. PFS, headquartered in Chatham NJ, has grown from a single facility in 1989 to 34 locations. It operates in locations throughout the United States with facilities in New York/New Jersey, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Vietnam, and China.
