70,000-sq-ft facility addition expected to grow freezer, dock space; lead to hire of 70 new warehouse employees, drivers

Dot Foods Arizona is adding 70,000 square feet to its warehouse.

The $12.5 million expansion to the two-year-old facility starts this month and is expected to finish by later summer or early fall, the company said.

To help staff the new space, Dot plans to hire 70 new warehouse employees and regional delivery drivers over the next three years.

Tracy shared the news with Dot Foods and Dot Transportation employees and thanked everyone for their hard work that allowed for this growth.

“I’m always happy to share news of an expansion because it means we continue to grow, which is great news for us all,” said Dick Tracy, president of Dot Foods. “Thank you for your continued hard work and dedication to our success.”

Dot Foods Arizona is the 11th distribution center for the Illinois-based company. The current 190,000-square-foot distribution center includes refrigerated, frozen and dry storage, and a garage to service the Dot Transportation fleet.

“We were thrilled when Dot Foods chose Mohave County, Arizona, three years ago, and we’re excited to see this company grow so quickly,” Arizona Gov Doug Ducey said. “This expansion will deliver new jobs and opportunities in Bullhead City.

“We thank Dot Foods for their continued investment in Arizona and look forward to their future success.”

The expansion will nearly double the freezer space and expand the dry warehouse by about a third, while also adding dock space and an outdoor dining area for employees, Dot said. The company currently employs more than 240 people in Arizona.

“Our success in this region is due in large part to the deep pool of talent in the community, which has helped us build an incredible team,” said Rocky Vecera, Dot Foods Arizona’s general manager. “We’ve been fortunate to draw a skilled workforce from Bullhead City, Mohave County and beyond, and we’re always looking for talented people to join our team.”
