Easyfresh Iberia launches group service in Europe

New service enables frequent consolidated, less-than-container load reefer shipments in response to changing demand

Easyfresh Iberia recently established a refrigerated group service in response to an increasing demand for consolidation and less-than-container loads of temperature-controlled shipments caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The company says the new reefer service connects Spain and Portugal to the Benelux and Norway.

“The valuable insights received from customers have enabled Easyfresh Iberia to design and offer this reliable Iberian groupage reefer service,” the company said. “Easyfresh Iberia’s guiding principles are high frequency, trustworthiness and optimal customer focus.”

Key service features include:

  • 5 departures per week, year round
  • Collections from all over Spain and Portugal
  • 2 drivers accompanied trucks
  • Bi-temperature reefer trailers

Easyfresh Iberia is operating the service, which launched in March, across the existing pan-European Easyfresh geographical coverage area, including cold stores and offices.

“This operational model offers Easyfresh Iberia customers a strong transportation capacity, able to secure for all part-loads a daily pickup and on-time delivery throughout the Benelux and Norway,” the company maintained. “Easyfresh Iberia can already now grant that this service leg is offering additional value-adding services to its existing and potential customer base.”
