Interstate Cold names new warehouse manager
Interstate Cold Storage (ICS) recently hired Josh Schilder as warehouse manager at its Columbus II facility.
Schilder will oversee day-to-day warehouse operations at the facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate handling of inbound and outbound inventory. He’ll also lead efforts to maintain high service levels while supporting ICS’s food safety and compliance standards, according to Charles Betts, ICS national sales manager.
“Josh brings a wealth of hands-on experience managing complex warehouse environments,” Betts said in a news release. “He’s led high-volume teams with precision and accountability, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to ICS.
“I’m confident he’ll have an immediate impact.”
Before joining ICS, Schilder served as operations manager at Gardner. There, he managed a 200,000-sq.-ft. facility, directed a team of 65 employees, and helped maintain an on-time fill rate of 98% or higher. He also supported operational improvement initiatives across multiple sites.
During his stint at Gardner, Schilder held various roles, including assistant operations manager, manager of outbound operations, and manager of inbound operations. Before Gardner, he spent more than a decade at Goodwill Columbus in various leadership positions in logistics, aftermarket sales, assembly, and fulfillment.
“I’m excited to step into this new role and help drive operational excellence at ICS,” Schilder said. “This facility has a great team and strong culture. I’m looking forward to building on that and continuing to support our customers with outstanding service.”
