Key takeaways
- IFDA merges SMart and Solutions conferences to unify leadership learning across foodservice distribution.
- Solutions 2026 will focus on operations, supply chain, automation, and sales strategies for fleet and logistics teams.
- Cross-functional programming enables leadership teams to develop practical strategies and implement solutions efficiently.
The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) recently merged its SMart Conference into the Solutions Conference, creating a single, expanded annual event. The association, which represents foodservice distributors, will host Solutions 2026 September 13–15 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, under the theme Forward in Focus.
The merger unites two conference communities, allowing leadership teams to attend the same keynotes, explore exhibitors side by side, and develop a unified strategy. Solutions 2026 will feature programming on operational excellence across transportation, warehousing, and the supply chain; technologies driving automation and modernization; and sales and marketing strategies to sharpen competitive advantage.
Attendees will benefit from content tailored to their specific roles, enhanced by cross-functional learning and collaborative problem-solving that delivers practical solutions ready for implementation.
“In today’s foodservice distribution landscape, the most effective strategies aren’t built in silos,” Mark S. Allen, president and CEO of IFDA, stated. “By bringing the SMart community to Solutions, we are creating an environment where entire leadership teams—from talent and technology to sales, marketing, and operations—can participate in the same event and leave with the clarity and confidence to move forward in focus.”
