Reinhart agrees to purchase Banta Foods

La Crosse WI-based Reinhart FoodService has agreed to acquire Banta Foods, a distributor headquartered in Springfield MO. This acquisition — Reinhart's seventh since 2006 — would increase the number of that company's locations to 19.

With more than 200 employees, Banta tallied annual sales of $198 million in 2007, while Reinhart recorded $3.087 billion in sales that year.
