Johanson Transportation receives BBB Ethics Award
Johanson Transportation Service (JTS), a leading third-party logistics provider, has been awarded the 2013 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Ethics Award for Marketplace Excellence in the large company category. JTS was nominated along with 42 businesses in this category, which is based on employee size.
This award is presented annually to companies demonstrating excellence and a commitment to ethical business practices both in operations and in terms of integrity, reliability, and responsiveness to employees, vendors, and customers.
Judging was performed by professors from The Craig School of Business at Fresno State University, Heald College, University of California–Merced, and DeVry University.
“The businesses nominated all serve wholesale and retail markets in nine counties in central California,” said President Larry Johanson. “This award is a testament to our staff’s hard work and adherence to our founding principles of experience, integrity, gratitude, and respect. I am deeply appreciative that four decades later, our staff is still personally and professionally demonstrating the moral fabric of our company to our clients and to the community we serve.”
JTS will represent central California in the 2014 Better Business Bureau International Torch Awards.
A third-party systems provider, licensed property broker, and ocean freight forwarder, JTS has a network of truck, air, ocean, and rail/intermodal transportation that provides domestic and international services including logistics management, consultation, and technology systems. JTS is headquartered in Fresno CA and has six US regional offices.
