C R England, a Salt Lake City UT-based global transportation provider, has named Josh England as the company’s new chief financial officer.

C R England, a Salt Lake City UT-based global transportation provider, has named Josh England as the company’s new chief financial officer. The announcement comes upon the retirement of Keith Wallace as CFO, effective January 18, 2013.

Since 2009, Josh England has served as the president of England Logistics. A unit of C R England, England Logistics provides non-asset transportation services via road, rail, ocean, and air. Under his direction, it grew to become the nation’s 10th-largest freight brokerage.

In 2012, Josh England was recognized by Utah Business magazine as a 40 Under 40 award winner. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

Wallace is retiring after 20 years of service to C R England. He joined the organization in 1993 to structure a newly created entrepreneurial role in England Dedicated Services, a division providing customized transportation systems. In 1997, Wallace was promoted to CFO.

In related news, England Logistics has named Jason Beardall as its new president. Beardall, formerly executive vice-president at England Logistics, will succeed Josh England.

In his previous role, Beardall was responsible for both operations and sales of the eight divisions of England Logistics. These include Full Truckload Brokerage, England Logistics’ Authorized Agent program, England Carrier Services (ECS), Dry LTL and Parcel Services, Supply Chain Management, International Ocean and Air Freight Forwarding, IMC, and Refrigerated LTL Services.

Beardall is a board member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) as well as a contributing member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). He is actively involved in legislative and regulatory issues and serves as a voice for 3PLs and brokerage firms of all sizes.
