Retalix Ltd. announced that Associated Food Stores is replacing two legacy warehouse management systems (WMS) in Montana with the Retalix TRICEPS system and expanding its use of the system at its headquarters distribution center in Salt Lake City UT.

Associated Food Stores, a TRICEPS user since 2000, is a cooperatively owned wholesale distributor employing more than 1,400 people. It delivers more than 750 truckloads of groceries each week to nearly 600 supermarkets in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming.

TRICEPS is a function-rich, real-time warehouse management system that helps retail grocery, wholesalers, and other large consumer package goods distributors improve productivity. Clients benefit from a synchronized information flow that drives more accurate tracking of inventory levels, reduced handling and inventory charges, increased labor efficiency, and better management of store orders.

Associated Food Stores is adding new automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) equipment — and integrating them with the previously installed TRICEPS WMS — at the headquarters location. It has also expanded this distribution center to more than 1 million square feet.

With the addition of the Montana sites, TRICEPS will help Associated Food Stores plan, coordinate, and manage more than 1.7 million square feet of warehouse operations.
