C R England has announced the promotion of Brandon Harrison and Zach England, two members of the company’s executive committee, to the positions of chief operating officers.

Harrison will oversee National, Regional, and Mexico Divisions and Safety. England will oversee Dedicated and Intermodal Operations and serve as chairman of the board of England Logistics, a third-party logistics company and wholly owned subsidiary of C R England.

Chad England, chief executive officer of the transportation company, said, “They have distinguished themselves as significant leaders in our company as well as in the transportation industry and will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to these positions. They have both been prepared to step into these positions and have a unique vision focused on the future growth of C R England and a commitment to our drivers, our employees, and our customers.”

Harrison was most recently president, National and Regional divisions. He has been with the company since 2003, serving in roles including operations manager, senior operations manager of the Dedicated Division, director of national fleet operations, and vice-president–OTR.

In his previous role, Harrison was responsible for the five business segments within the National and Regional divisions: Fleet Management, Customer Service, Inside Sales, Load Planning, and Optimization and Network Development. Under his direction, his team maintained and managed over-the-road operations, and he was responsible for managing profitability for each of those business segments.

Zach England is a great-grandson of founder Chester R England. Promoted from president, Dedicated Division, he has worked in a variety of positions for the privately owned family company throughout his college years and started full-time in 2004 with England Logistics. In his role at England Logistics, he created and set the foundation for England Carrier Services; a division that provides reliable and cost-effective services to small carriers.

In 2007, he moved into the role of vice-president, Intermodal, where he oversaw the sales and operation force of the Intermodal Division. He has been a force in the Intermodal Division as he executed the company’s expansion from trailer on flatcar (TOFC) to container on flatcar (COFC) technology.
