Tropical Shipping adds 525 reefer containers

Tropical Shipping has received 525 new refrigerated containers, consisting of 150 20-foot containers and 375 40-ft containers.

As the initial shipment of more than 750 new reefer containers bought by Tropical Shipping, these containers arrived at the Port of Palm Beach FL recently. The next delivery of containers is planned for the Port of Palm Beach in early 2011.

These Carrier PrimeLINE-equipped containers are designed to lower maintenance and energy usage while being more environmentally friendly.

A leading carrier to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, Tropical Shipping owns and leases more than 17,000 units of equipment. This includes more than 4,000 chassis, 3,425 reefer containers, 8,500 dry containers, and 1,600 units of specialized equipment such as flat racks and open tops. This equipment is strategically located throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean.
