FoodLink launches Deal Manager

FoodLink, the buying platform that connects fresh food retailers and wholesalers to a network of more than 2,000 supplier companies, has launched FoodLink Deal Manager.

FoodLink, the buying platform that connects fresh food retailers and wholesalers to a network of more than 2,000 supplier companies, has launched FoodLink Deal Manager. This online system helps perishable goods suppliers manage promotions and stay top-of-mind with major retail and wholesale buyers.

With Deal Manager, suppliers customize a company or brand profile that includes photos, videos, graphics, and documents. The profile also includes warehouse or pickup locations, and a multimedia product catalog aligned with industry-standard item codes and categories. The information is then used to create promotions that can be viewed by all buyers, or just a specific buying organization or individual buyer. Responses and negotiations can be kept confidential and take place within Deal Manager’s private communications network, or by e-mail.

For suppliers, Deal Manager provides:

•One-stop product catalog management with industry standard item categorization that aligns with GS1 coding classifications

•A customizable profile page designed to highlight key information for retail buyers

•Private, in-network e-mail and alerts

•Promotional pricing and deal configuration that can be targeted to specific buyers or groups of buyers

•Standardized market comparison of category and commodity movement and pricing data

•Direct links to FoodLink Online purchase order and invoice management

Deal Manager is available to any perishable goods supplier with an e-mail address and at least one warehouse or pickup location in North America. The three subscription levels are:

•Basic includes a standard profile, support for up to 50 catalog items, and the ability to post up to 10 deals a year.

•Standard includes a standard profile, support for up to 250 catalog items, and ability to post up to 50 deals a year.

•Premium includes a premium profile that can be customized by retailer, support for an unlimited number of catalog items, and ability to post an unlimited number of deals.
