Gordon Food Service, North America’s largest family-owned-and-managed broadline foodservice distributor, will build a 150,000-square foot distribution center near Pottsville PA.

Gordon Food Service, North America’s largest family-owned-and-managed broadline foodservice distributor, will build a 150,000-square foot distribution center near Pottsville PA. It will be the company’s 11th U.S. distribution center.

Based in Grand Rapids MI, Gordon Food Service serves more than 45,000 customers in 15 states and Canada, and operates 129 GFS Marketplace retail stores.

Site preparation for the project is underway. The company expects the facility to be operational by late 2009.
