Swift Transportation has signed with Internet Truckstop, an Internet-based freight matching service for the transportation industry, and Registry Monitoring Insurance Service (RMIS) to implement Carrier Registration Service Plus (CRS Plus).
As companies continue to find their database of qualified carriers shrinking, the CRS Plus tool allows companies to drastically reduce the time it takes to qualify new carriers and onboard them into their transportation management systems.
CRS Plus provides Phoenix AZ-based Swift the flexibility to design a self-branded, customized, and user-friendly website. New carriers visiting the website will be instantly qualified against customized rules. Providing profile information including contacts, equipment, lanes, and commodities hauled, a carrier will then view and sign Swift’s master agreements. The onboarding process that takes some companies more than 24 hours is now reduced to less than six minutes.
Carrier members of Internet Truckstop that wish to register with Swift will find a direct link to the site under the CRS Plus Link on www.truckstop.com, or at www.Swifttrans.com.
CRS Plus provides the client with vital carrier profile information as well as W-9 data and certificate of insurance information directly from the insurance producer. Also supplied are information on authority status, safety ratings, and CSA scores directly from the DOT and FMCSA.
RMIS takes away the hassle of ongoing compliance tracking for carriers by monitoring insurance, DOT authority, and safety information daily. Swift Transportation can retrieve the updated information in real time either directly from its custom-built website, or via direct integration between RMIS and its transportation management system.
