Magline, a manufacturer of route distribution systems, showcased the Magliner CooLift Delivery System at the International Foodservice Distributors Association’s 2012 Distribution Solutions Conference in Las Vegas NV recently.
With CooLift, distributors can deliver more product in less time, with up to 50% reduction in driver product touches. Also on display was Magline’s Y-cable brake truck, which can be customized for unique applications.
The CooLift system combines an easily maneuverable and high-capacity hydraulic lifting truck with integrated plastic half-pallets for improved safety and efficiency. Orders are built directly onto a CooLift pallet inside the warehouse, and then loaded into trailers using traditional forklifts with CooLift pallet adapters. Because of the pallet’s compact size, drivers can transfer product to the final destination through a traditional door. The CooLift system increases delivery efficiency, improves driver retention and longevity, and results in lower fleet operating costs.
The CooLift truck features a hydraulic lifting system powered by a 24-volt rechargeable battery. Manufactured from lightweight aluminum and featuring a six-wheel design with rear swivel non-marking wheels, this truck provides lightweight 360-degree maneuverability in store aisles. Dual hydraulic brakes on the center wheels ensure driver control of deliveries in various store environments, and unlike traditional jacks, the system is equipped with a manual override.
The Magliner brake truck provides optimal load control on inclines in wet or dry environments, and manages speed from a gradual slowing to a complete stop. Steel aircraft cables self-adjust and self-align for even braking. The patent-pending brake application stops 60% better than other brands. All brake truck models can be equipped with options and accessories to customize them.
