Circle Foods, the tortilla and ethnic food company owned by Stephen Bronfman, has christened its new state-of-the-art production facility in Otay Mesa CA in San Diego County. The company is now doubling its production capacity with the new building.
“This new facility is the cornerstone for our continued growth, giving us the increased size and the latest, most innovative equipment to drive all parts of our business forward, from new recipe development to production, packaging, and warehousing capabilities,” said Eric Brenk, general manager and chief operating officer at Circle Foods.
Circle Foods has a number of positions open and expects to increase its staff by 30-50 positions this year.
The new facility offers 132,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space capable of producing fresh, refrigerated, and frozen foods. An additional 27,000 square feet of office space houses the company’s headquarters.
This building is fully compliant with all Food and Drug Administration and US Department of Agriculture food manufacturing safety standards. It was designed with environmental conservation features, including energy-efficient refrigeration and electrical utilities and its own water treatment facilities.
The company’s brand portfolio of fresh, refrigerated, and frozen foods includes La Terra Fina, Tortillaland, Rotiland, and Nuevo Grille. Products are available in grocery and club stores nationwide, including Costco, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s.
