LeanLogistics, a global leader in Software as a Service (SaaS) transportation technology and supply chain services, will be co-presenting an educational session at the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Logistics Conference 2010, set for February 22 in Orlando FL.

Stacy Kannawin, vice-president of business consulting, will be sharing her perspective on the crucial role technology plays in inbound planning for retailers. Kannawin has more than 15 years’ experience in supply chain operations, business consulting, and information technology.

Leading the session with Kannawin will be Judy Sweetman, director of inbound logistics, Meijer Inc; and Randall Ledet, group manager of transportation, Unilever. Their breakout session, “Where’s My Stuff?”, will focus on the constructive means retailers can employ to increase purchase order and lead-time dependability, including obtaining visibility of inbound movements and using technology to control inbound shipments while managing carrier relationships and transit.

“Managing the ‘final mile’ is critical in the competitive retail arena,“ said Kannawin. “Inbound is also one of the least-optimized segments of the demand chain. Our technology offers the tools for scalable management, execution, and benchmarking across the enterprise.”

Sessions at the RILA Logistics Conference will focus on strategic issues involving distribution, transportation, international logistics and sourcing, legislative and regulatory issues, sustainability, and workforce diversity and inclusion.
