McLeod Imaging, the document management arm of McLeod Software, announced the release of DocumentPower Enterprise Version 9.0. Designed specifically for transportation companies, the integrated system encompasses document imaging, rendition processing, forms recognition, workflow, and report management components. The new release adds more than 70 advanced features and modules.
Business efficiency and automation
Designed to enhance document capture and reduce customers’ Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), McLeod developed a new touch-screen scanning kiosk module for a company’s driver lounge that is easy to use and maintain. Its features include the ability to: self-update, send a confirmation receipt directly to the driver’s e-mail address, access scanned documents via the web by confirmation number or date range, and restrict access by requiring a log-in and password.
This tool facilitates faster document delivery so billing can be processed more quickly and reduces the need for truck stop scanning as well as postage and mailing fees.
Within the DocumentPower Enterprise Workflow module, which replaces paper processes with a digital workflow where scanned documents are electronically routed to the right person at the right time, users are now able to highlight, add text notes as well as apply bitmaps right on the image.
Administrative tools
An enriched and more user-friendly application builder included in the new release allow users to build their own applications/electronic filing cabinets to support a nearer-to-paperless environment.
A centralized security system that consolidates all Document Power software security into a single module that is easy to use rounds out the release’s new administrative tools.
