Organically Grown Company (OGC) has selected AFS Technologies’ Priya Enterprise warehouse management system (WMS) to be deployed in its Portland OR-based distribution centers. OGC, a leading wholesaler of organic fruits, vegetables and herbs in the Pacific Northwest, provides healthy alternatives from its Portland, Eugene OR, and Kent WA locations.

OGC’s goal is to drive profits through innovative business automation systems while creating a more sustainable business model that distributes organically grown food in accordance with the principles of “good, clean, and fair.” Implementation of an efficient, scalable WMS with engineered labor standards and lot/date code traceability are key factors that led OGC to select AFS Technologies as the provider for its warehouse management needs.

Carl McCauley, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for AFS Technologies, said, “We’ve seen customers experience labor savings of 15%-40%, an improvement in space utilization by as much as 10%-25%, and the accuracy of our customers’ order fulfillment increase by 5%-15%.”

Strong domain knowledge of WMS and the foodservice industry combined with a low total cost of ownership (TCO), the Priya Enterprise WMS offers features designed to enhance productivity and overall efficiencies within the warehouse. Its features include cross-dock operations, slot optimization, and support for lot/serial numbers, date codes, and catch weights.
